(westernkansasnews.com)–Coming off a 10-day layoff, the Scott City Lady Beaver softball team returned to the diamond Friday afternoon to face the Southwestern Heights Lady Mustangs in non-league play. The Lady Beavers would take care of business in both games, coming away with wins of 15-0 and 18-2 in a pair of contests that did not make it past the sixth inning. Scott City 15, SW Heights 0, Game 1 Southwestern Heights would collect two hits to start things off, but would come empty handed in their first at bat. Scott City was consistent in their scoring, putting up five runs in the three innings of play. The Lady Beavers got things going with a bang, as Hannah Tucker hit a two-run home run to get the scoring started. Cheyenne Cramer, and Makayala Miller would drive in runs in the opening inning.
