A SpaceX launch from Cape Canaveral would be the 50th of the year for the Space Coast, but it will feature a milestone for the company as well.

The mission, known as VICTUS NOX, successfully lifted off at 7:28 p.m. from Space Launch Complex 2 West, according to the release.

"This mission highlights significant progress towards meeting emerging challenges in space,” said Lt. Col. MacKenzie Birchenough, materiel leader for SSC's Space Safari office.

We have a lot of rocket launches coming up this week but they will all be satellite launches. Among the launches will be two carrying more Starlink satellites into a low-Earth orbit.
