New plans for ultra-futuristic bases on Mars and the Moon create artificial gravity by rotating the base itself like a centrifuge.

Designs for a massive, 1,300 foot-tall rotating structure called "The Glass" were presented at a July 5 press conference held by Kyoto University researchers and Kajima Corporation. If completed artificial gravity building will be on Mars, and the other will be on the moon.

Researchers at Kyoto University and contractor Kajima Corp. presented plans to build living facilities required for human habitation on the moon and Mars and a transportation system reminiscent of a galaxy express.
