Two New Films; A Documentary, and the Frankels
The animated film âThe Boss Baby: Family Businessâ opens on July 2. The first âBoss Babyâ film (2017) got good reviews and made mucho gelt. It was followed by a Netflix series in 2018. The premise is, frankly, bizarre (one of the two Templeton brothers, the star characters, is a baby with the mind, and the speech, of an adult). In âFamily Businessâ the Templeton Brothers have drifted apart, but a new boss baby brings them together again.
LISA KUDROW, 57, again is the voice of the Templeton brothersâ mother and
JEFF GOLDBLUM, 68, is the voice of Dr. Armstrong, a business rival of the Templetons.
Representatives of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies gathered in the Czech Senate on Wednesday for a commemorative event marking Holocaust Remembrance Day, observed around the world on January 27.
The meeting was organized by the Federation of Jewish Communities in the Czech Republic and the Endowment Fund for Holocaust Victims in cooperation with the upper chamber of Parliament. Due to the coronavirus restrictions in place, speeches by the speakers of both chambers, Michaela Vidláková, a former prisoner of the Terezín ghetto, and Petr Papoušek, chairman of the Federation of Jewish Communities in the Czech Republic, were broadcast online.
The Spanish Synagogue, one of the most visited historic sights in Prague, reopens to the public on Wednesday. The monument, built in the late 1860s in the Moorish style, has been closed since June2019 due to renovation.
The renovation works, which cost several dozen million crowns, included the construction of new visitor facilities and barrier-free access. The synagogue will also house a new exhibition mapping the history of the Jews in Bohemia and Moravia over the past two centuries.
The sight will have to close again on Friday along with other museums and galleries in the Czech Republic due to the worsening epidemiological situation.
