Sebatik assemblyman Hassan A. Gani Pg Amir has switched side from Warisan to the ruling Gabungan Rakyat Sabah.
Kota Kinabalu: There may be a by-election for Sebatik if the Speaker of the State Legislative Assembly accepts a pre-signed letter of resignation of the constituency s elected representative Hassan A. Gani Pg Amir, said Warisan President Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal.
Shafie said the party will send the letter to the State Legislative Assembly very soon and a copy of the letter will be handed to the Head of State and Election Commission.
Shafie said the letter was signed by Hassan on Sept 10, 2020 during nomination of Warisan s candidates for the 16th State election that included the latter s pledge of loyalty to the party.

‘Major decisions will be taken jointly by three heads of Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance’
Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Wednesday quashed speculation about Maharashtra getting another Deputy Chief Minister.
The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader said any such major decision could only be taken by the three heads of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition, comprising Shiv Sena, the NCP and the Congress.
Mr. Pawar, speaking in Nashik, remarked, “This MVA government is functioning perfectly well in accordance with the Common Minimum Programme as agreed on by the three parties. If any change is to be made, then it will be done with due consultation among Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, NCP chief Sharad Pawar and Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
