Raipur/IBNS: Seven Maoists including two women have been killed in an encounter which took place in the Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh, media reports said.

"Special Task Force, a team of Delhi Police apprehended three persons, namely Pradeep Sharma alias Boby (33), Mohit Arora (35) and Mukesh Sharma (44)," the Police said in an official statement.

Sharing details of the ongoing exchange of fire, a police officer informed that a joint security team from the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and the Special Task Force (STF) were involved in the operation.
