XDefiant, the upcoming free-to-play shooter from Ubisoft, has quietly dropped its Tom Clancy branding.

Ubisoft has scrubbed all mentions of the Tom Clancy name from the XDefiant branding, including from the current advertisements and iterations.

Earlier this month, Ubisoft announced an insider program for Skull & Bones to help gather feedback on the game. XDefiant, the upcoming shooter originally called "Tom Clancy’s XDefiant," has lost the author’s name. Ubisoft announced it will incorporate non-Clancy factions as well as Clancy ones in the final game, hence the change.

Ubisoft is dropping the Tom Clancy moniker from their upcoming free-to-play multiplayer arena shooter, whose new name is just XDefiant.
