The SVG Cricket Association Inc. (SVGCA), in keeping with a tradition, recently bestowed honours on three persons.
This exercise took place as part of the Association’s 2020 Awards Dinner Ceremony, held on Thursday 17th December, at the Arnos Vale Sports Complex.
The honorees were Dr. Linton Lewis, Rudy Daize and Dr. Kishore Shallow.
Dr. Lewis, who is now a practicing attorney at law, was a former national and regional opening batsman of no mean class, and his record speaks to a successful career at both levels. When in 1991 Dr. Lewis called it a day from active participation in the sport at the regional level, he had amassed 1238 runs with two centuries and five fifties, from 32 matches. He was recognized and honoured for his outstanding performances and service to cricket in the region and to the state.
