Police chase turned into brief manhunt in northwest Houston

4 arrested after police chase involving stolen car in NW Houston KTRK Share: HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) A police pursuit of a stolen vehicle turned into a brief manhunt in the Spring Branch area. Police say at least one person took off on foot after the chase that lasted about 15 to 20 minutes. Officers were searching in the area of Peppermill Road at about 5 p.m. Wednesday. The chase came to an end in front of a home, where a couple of people were initially detained. Officers say after about 20 minutes, all four suspects were in custody. North, Northwest, K9 and FOX just apprehended four suspects 3800 Peppermill. Author: Vanessa Croix Updated: 11:23 PM CST February 2, 2021 SPRING BRANCH, Texas It’s the first year that Hill Country College Prep High School has been open in Comal ISD, and one 9th grade student is already standing out for his kindness and dedication to helping others. School leaders said that Jakson Kimball is a leader and role model to his peers. “He’s always the student who’s going above and beyond to make sure everybody has what they need and everyone can be successful,” said geometry teacher, Kendi Quidachay.

John David Ewan

On Monday, January 18th, 2021, John David Ewan, loving husband, Father and Grandfather, passed away at the age of 80.  John David Ewan was born May 22, 1940, in southern Illinois, where he grew up. Dave attended the University of Louisville where he earned his Chemical Engineering Degree. Over the years Dave lived in many different states, but he settled in Texas and at heart he was a Texas Boy. Dave and his wife, Lynn, built their dream house in Spring Branch, Texas.  Dave was deeply involved With Rusty’s Morning-star Ranch, a home for autistic adults, where his son resides. Dave was a passionate member of the National Corvette Restorers Society and rebuilt many 1957 Corvettes.
