　　“现代气候预测主要基于气候模式和物理机制诊断相结合的办法。”国家气候中心主任宋连春介绍，经过近半个世纪的发展，目前国内外气候模式对气候系统的模拟、刻画已经比较全面。　　地球的气候系统由海洋、陆地、大气、冰冻圈、生物圈这五大圈层构成，非常复杂。气候模式可以说是对气候系统的数学表达，科学家编写反映很多数理方程原理的复杂程序，再通过超级计算机进行运算，对未来的气候演变趋势作出预测。气候模式要用的数据量大得惊人，往往达到几十个TB(万亿字节)，有的预测要用高速计算机“转”好几个月。　　“另一方面，气候模式虽然有长足的发展，然而在准确模拟海洋、陆地、大气、冰冻圈、生物圈等多圈层的相互作用方面，还有很长的路要走。”宋连春说，“因此我们在气候预测中，会基于大量历史观测数
