Springfield Garden Club preps for annual plant sale Updated 12:02 PM; Today 12:02 PM The Springfield Garden Club’s annual plant sale is set for Saturday, May 22, at the Springfield Museums Facebook Share Of course there will be annuals, perennials, houseplants, shrubs and some small trees for sale at the Springfield Garden Club’s annual plant sale on Saturday, May 22, but there also will be flowering chairs. Flowering chairs? Yes, chair planters – old and beautiful chairs that have been repurposed, repainted and turned into beautiful planters that will add beauty and art to gardens. The club did have a plant sale last year, but COVID-19 restrictions necessitated that members create a different format: a virtual sale that was only available to members and a few friends.
