At least 11 high-profile groups are publicly supporting the $220 million bond issue Springfield Public Schools placed on the April 4 ballot.

The pop-up events will have a petting zoo, bounce houses, a magic show, face painting and other carnival games.

The seven centers serve as a lifeline for daily meals for many living on a fixed income and in poverty.

Alaina Carlton, mother of a student in Gravette schools, spoke to the School Board at its July 19 meeting expressing her concerns about discussions relating to vaccinations in the schools. She told board members she felt there should be no discussions about the effectiveness or ineffectiveness of vaccines, covid-19 or otherwise, in the classroom.
