Hyderabad: The city police have arrested a 48-year-old Chartered Accountant for circulating fake government order announcing partial lockdown in Telangana in view of rising COVID-19 cases.
The accused has been identified as Sreepathi Sanjeev Kumar, who works as Chartered Accountant with Karvy and Company in Telangana capital Hyderabad. The accused is a native of Nellore district in Andhra Pradesh. He has been residing in Hyderabad since 1993.

Hyderabad: On 5 April, under the joint operation of CCS, Hyderabad and Commissioner’s Task Force Team, apprehended one accused by name of Sreepathi Sanjeev Kumar who prepared and circulated a fake G.O on April 1 as part of his April Fools prank. It was issued in the name of the Chief Secretary to the Telangana Government. He cheated people by circulating the same on social media.
He was arrested from his residence in Madhapur. The police seized 1 Dell Laptop (Used in the commission of the offence) and an iPhone from his possession.

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], April 5 (ANI): A Chartered Accountant (CA) has been arrested for preparing and circulating a fake government order about partial lockdown in Telangana, Hyderabad Police said on Monday.
According to the press release from the police, under the joint operation of Central Crime Station (CCS), Hyderabad, and Commissioner s Task Force Team, Sreepathi Sanjeev Kumar was arrested for making and circulating a fake government order in the name of Chief Secretary of Telangana on April 1.
The police have seized a laptop that has been used in the commission of an offence and a cell phone from the possession of the accused.

Hyderabad: The city police on Monday arrested a man who was allegedly involved in preparing and circulating the fake Government Order (G.O) which said that a lockdown was being imposed in Telangana.
Police Commissioner of Hyderabad, Anjani Kumar, on Monday said that Sreepathi Sanjeev Kumar, who is a chartered accountant and native of Nellore District in Andhra Pradesh, was arrested in a joint operation by the officials of the task force and cyber crime departments.
On April 1, the accused person with the help of his laptop had manipulated an older G.O, No. 45, of the Telangana government which was issued during the COVID-19 lockdown earlier. As per the police, the accused forged the G.O and prepared it as a fresh one and circulated the same through his WhatsApp number.
