Ram Navami is special as it celebrates the birth of the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu, Lord Rama. He was born in Ayodhya as the son of King Dasharath and Queen Kaushalya. Since he was born on the ninth day of Chaitra month in the noon, his birthday coincides with the ninth day of Chaitra Navratri, on which is the day when the fasting concludes. As per the Hindu calendar, the festival falls in the month of March or April. Ram Navami is celebrated across the county with devotion and joy. The houses are decorated and Rama idols are decorated with pomp and people share sweets and wish each other.
