A new report analyses the government’s response to the sharp increase in the number of people seeking asylum in Ireland.

That’s according to the ESRI quarterly economic commentary report published today.

Research from the Economic and Social Research Institute found that the decline was due to a drop in the number of hours worked.

The Land Development Agency (LDA) currently builds homes on publicly owned land.

The report concluded that there was a need to invest in education in the North to reduce the gap.
