MORE than 5, 000 animals at the Sriracha Tiger Zoo will soon be transported to another location.
This comes after the permanent closure of the facility on April 30, according to a posting by the Chonburi zoo on its Facebook page on Tuesday.
Over 5, 000 animals are to be transported out of Sriracha Tiger Zoo following the closure.
After 24 years in operation, the tourist attraction in Nong Kham sub-district was forced to shut down due to a worsening economic status, with the third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic severely affecting its revenue.
“All animals in the zoo belong to the Sriracha Crocodile Farm and Product Ltd.
