St Cloud School News Today

The fall enrollment numbers are in at the St. Cloud Area School District, and they show a slight increase over last year’s fall enrollment.

Staff and administration will hit the street Monday to welcome new students to the school.

At Wednesday’s school board meeting, board members will discuss raising the ticket prices for regular season events. Currently, a ticket is $4.00 for students and $6.00 for adults. District administrators are recommending an increase of one dollar for each category.

Staff from the St. Cloud Area School District will hit the road Tuesday to help enroll students and sign them up for services.

The St. Cloud Bus Driver’s Association has reached a tentative agreement with the St. Cloud Area School District.

Jason Harris, Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Instruction with District 742, told the board several students are currently in classrooms in a partner facility, and one of the goals of the project is to create enough space to put all the students on campus.

The St. Cloud Area School District has announced that they’ve reached tentative agreements with the unions representing sign language interpreters, paraeducators, and Licensed Practical Nurses.

Cell phone use by middle school students and high school parking fees will be discussed at the St. Cloud Area School Board meeting tonight.

Work continues on a code of conduct for players and spectators at high school events.

Dr. Laurie Putnam becomes the new Superintendent of District 742 on July 1st.
