Hillingdon pupil wins art prize for 'rainbow trees'

Happy thoughts: Arya s rainbow tree A PUPIL from St Helen’s College, Hillingdon, has won an international competition, iArt 2021, for her depiction of the ‘rainbow trees’ in her garden, which made her happy throughout lockdown.  The competition received 168 entries, ranging from pets to wild animals, landscapes and portraits as pupils embraced techniques from sculpting to impressionist art.  Arya Arora, 7, will receive Amazon vouchers for her efforts, as well as recognition in the iArt 2021 brochure.  She said: “In my garden, we have huge trees and, during lockdown, I saw two rainbows over the trees which always made me smile and happy.”
