LG Manoj Sinha Inaugurated COVID Vaccination Drive For J&K
SRINAGAR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday launched the world’s largest vaccination drive to eradicate COVID-19 pandemic. Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha, who attended a virtual programme of the vaccine launch by Prime Minister Modi at Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu termed it as a historic event dedicated to corona warriors and front line workers.

On the occasion, Lt Governor also inaugurated and witnessed the administering of the first dose of the vaccine to a sanitation in-charge of GMC Jammu. Advisor to Lieutenant Governor Baseer Ahmed Khan, Chief Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam, Financial Commissioner Health & Medical Education, Atal Dulloo, Administrative Secretaries, Principal GMC Jammu, Dr Shashi Sudan Sharma, and other senior officers were also present during the occasion.
Dry run for COVID-19 vaccination conducted across India

Guwahati: A dry run for COVID-19 vaccine administration is being conducted on Saturday across all states and Union Territories of India.
This is the second round of dry run drill after the same was conducted in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Gujarat and Assam between December 23-29, 2020. The dry run vaccination programme is being conducted at the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in Guwahati. We are doing a dry run where we have well-formulated every step right from the beneficiary list, bringing the vaccines in the proper way, how it is going to be stored and then how we are going to cross-check each beneficiary, how much time we are going to take in the entire process, Dr Sthapna Sharma, Assistant professor at GMCH said.

New Delhi [India], January 2 (ANI): With the objective to gear up for the roll-out of COVID-19 vaccine across the country, the dry run will be conducted by all the States and UT governments from Saturday.
According to Union Health Ministry, the objective of the dry run for COVID-19 vaccine introduction is to assess operational feasibility in the use of COVID Vaccine Intelligence Network (Co-WIN) application in field environment, to test the linkages between planning and implementation and to identify the challenges and guide way forward prior to actual implementation . This is also expected to give confidence to programme managers at various levels, it said.
