Kirksville City Council approves 2021 budget, continuation of mask mandate

Kirksville City Council approves 2021 budget, continuation of mask mandate Kirksville Daily Express Monday’s Kirksville City Council meeting was the final one of the 2020 year, where the council approved several measures heading into 2021. Mask mandate update As the council decided since it enacted a mask mandate on Nov. 24, that ordinance is set to be discussed each month. Monday’s meeting was the first time the council re-visited the mandate since it was passed. The council’s discussion was brief since the members were all in favor of letting the mandate continue and following the health department’s lead.  “Since there’s also a county-wide mandate that would include the city, to keep from having confusion of the city removing it, I think we should go along with the health department,” said Phillip Biston.
