Starbucks Protest News Today

Protesters have targeted an H&M store and branch of Starbucks as well as other shops at the shopping centre in east London during the Boxing Day sales.

Frequent offers such as Red Cup Day or buy-one-get-one-free promotions put added stress on the workers, who do not have the power to switch off mobile-based orders or control the workflow, an employee told AP. “We just have basically an infinite amount of drinks and we’re understaffed and we’re underpaid and we’re sick of it," she said., World News, Times Now

Protesters were beginning to gather Monday morning at Starbucks locations across New York City and all around the country for a "Day of Action."

For several months workers at Kansas City-area Starbucks have been exploring the idea of unionizing. On Thursday, employees rallied on the Country Club Plaza.
