Shortly after the Edo State House of Assembly impeached the state deputy governor Philip Shaibu, the state Governor, Godwin Obaseki picked his replacement. Obaseki picked 37-year-old Omobayo Godwin as his new deputy. A video posted by Channels Television on X shows that Omobayo’s inauguration was set to hold on Monday (today) at the State Government House in Benin City. The video shows that some guests were already seated while some were just arriving for the swearing-in ceremony.
