OHIO – Neighbors across the country will soon have an exciting
opportunity to help change their communities for the better through
State Farm Neighborhood Assist®. The program awards $25,000 grants to 40
nonprofit organizations to help fund neighborhood improvement projects.
According
to a recent State Farm research study, one-quarter of respondents say
that they are “extremely” or “very” involved in trying to improve their
neighborhood and six-in-ten are trying to improve their neighborhood in
some capacity.
State Farm Neighborhood Assist can be a catalyst for that change.

Press release Anthony Cammon, agent for State Farm, has announced that State Farm Neighborhood Assist® is back for its 10th year in 2021. “Grant programs that address community needs, like Neighborhood Assist, are more important than ever,” Cammon said. “This program is all about building stronger neighborhoods together.” This past year was like no other in recent history, and $25,000 could make a big impact at a time when non-profits and communities are still getting back on their feet.

Licking County Transit Board received grant funding from the Ohio Department of Transportation to provide free transportation to and from all vaccine clinics in Licking County.
Community members can call Transit to request service to a vaccine clinic, letting the dispatcher know it s for a COVID-19 vaccine. To schedule a ride, call 740-670-5185 and press 1 or call 1-800-350-7071.

State Farm to award grants through Neighborhood Assist program
The program awards $25,000 grants to 40 nonprofit organizations to help fund neighborhood improvement projects.
Individuals can submit a cause at www.neighborhoodassist.com starting June 2. Interested individuals can prepare now by going to the website and downloading the submission guide. The first 2,000 submissions will be accepted. The State Farm Review Committee then will narrow the field to the top 200 finalists using a scoring rubric.
Ultimately, voters will decide which community improvement projects win big. The public will have a chance to vote 10 times a day, every day for 10 days, from Aug. 18-27, for their favorite causes from the list of finalists. Voting will take place at www.neighborhoodassist.com.
