More than 400 Maoist cadres are surrendering every year following governments surrender and rehabilitation policy under which they are given all kinds of facilities including financial assistance, said Sundarraj P, Inspector General of Police of Bastar Range.

Both the Naxals were active for the past many years and they were carrying a reward of Rs 14 lakh each on their heads. The police team also recovered 303 bore rifles from both the Naxals from the spot.
