State police believe a fire that damaged a home in Luzerne County was intentionally set. Author: WNEP Web Staff Updated: 2:41 PM EST February 18, 2021 LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — Troopers believe a fire in Luzerne County earlier this month is arson and are looking for two people who may be involved. Flames destroyed a double-block home along Washington Street in Foster Township near Freeland on February 8. One side of the house was vacant. Investigators believe one or two people had been squatting in the vacant side where the fire broke out. Neighbors also report seeing two women in the area in the days just before the fire.
