STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Light snow and freezing rain continue to fall on Staten Island Tuesday afternoon, about two days after a winter storm first moved into the area and slammed the borough with over a foot of accumulation.
While an AccuWeather meteorologist believes the worst of the storm “is over,” a National Weather Service forecast indicates there is still a 40% chance of snow showers leading into Tuesday night as restless Staten Island residents braved the cold Tuesday afternoon and attempted to clear sidewalks and dig out cars buried under snow.
