Aside from the ‘floating pantries’ that continuously help fishermen in some provinces, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has also set up community pantries for some residents and passengers in port and coastal area who were affected by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) reminded on Thursday, March 11, the residents in Batangas to refrain from going to Taal Volcano Island, which was already declared as a no man’s land due to its increasing unrest.

The Coast Guard made the warning after six residents were arrested for visiting the area for Facebook live streaming.
According to the authorities, among the arrested residents were three minors.
