Predicting dorians path weve heard of the bermuda high being a factor but thats just one to me what are these variables that are making it so hard to predict. yes of the remuda high is off the east right now and its been sitting there and the question for a while was how close would that come to the coast that effects the steering currents that dorian will be susceptible to so theres that over the ohio valley theres a trough kind of a big area of low pressure and that screw story up the closest ...

Will remain that way. but notice the cone of uncertainty has now left the coast of florida. it is slightly off. that means with this cone of uncertainty, that that eye could be anywhere within that cone. but this is the first time in a long, long time that it has left the florida coastline, and it is staying away from georgia. however, that cone of uncertainty continues to slide to south carolina and north carolina. that doesnt mean we wont have our problems with storm surge, batting rainfall. w...

The grand bahama islands. the one moving slower was 1965. it was betsy. it moved 12 miles in 30 hours, but that was over land, excuse me, over water. if we look at the history of this, jake, all these storms want do is transfer their heat from near the equator to the colder waters and the colder air at north. thats it. they want to take the path of least resistance. what we have going on is a strong area of high pressure that has been up to the north of us and its been shifting this. in fact, a ...

Up above. once this is done with the bahamas, it will be devastating to see that. theres the center. 45 miles out. we have hurricane warnings that are now in effect from boca raton down to cape canaveral. 24 hours here, 48 hours to the north and then tropical storm watch in effect for central florida, disney world might be seeing some tropical storm force winds by the time we get into the middle of the week. this is a slow mover. what is horrible for the bahamas may be good for florida. the long...

To melbourne. can you imagine that? also notice the turn eventually taking it east of jacksonville by the time we get into wednesday, 8:00 p.m. then it curves out to sea. the big question is when is that turn going to occur? it hasnt happened yet. think of a cruise ship. if the captain says all of a sudden, we got to turn this thing around, well, youre not going to be able to do that on the fly because that momentum will continue. so the steering currents are going to want to pull this up, but d...
