The Lord Mayor of Dublin Hazel Chu would like to announce that she has chosen Marie Stears as the winner of the Lord Mayor’s Award for the month of February.
Ann works in the Spar shop on Glasnevin Avenue in Finglas.
“There’s a lot of very worthy people nominated again this month, as there always is,” said the Lord Mayor. “We really do have so many good people in this City. I went with Ann as this month’s winner because not only does she sound like a ray of sunshine for customers coming into the shop, but she has also put another of her talents to great use making masks and raising money for a super cause. Well done Ann!”
Ann was nominated for the award by Colette Finnegan, a customer in the shop.
The Lord Mayor of Dublin Hazel Chu would like to announce that she has chosen Naima Chebli as the winner of the Lord Mayor’s Award for the month of December.
Naima works on the catering team in St James’s Hospital and is based in Hollybrook Lodge in Inchicore, the hospital’s long stay residential unit for the elderly.
“It’s always so difficult to pick a winner of the Lord Mayor’s Award each month because there are so many outstanding candidates,” said the Lord Mayor. “I chose Naima this month because she sounds like a wonderful person who goes above and beyond to make a meaningful difference to the lives of other people in St James’s Hospital. Little things we all do can have a big impact on people. Naima is a very worthy winner.”
