It happened about 50 miles north of philadelphia in the city of allentown. It happened along the hamilton street bridge in that city which lies above the lehigh river. Police say the child fell 52 feet into just 4 feet of water. A section of the river police say is filled with rocks. The mother had walk about halfway across the bridge when it happened.

Road here in sheltonham township is expected to be closed until about 1 00 this morning. Were told right now, about ten customers without water. However, the township says that could fluctuate as those repairs continue throughout the evening. We have learned this water main blew around 1 00 this afternoon. A resident tells us she was standing in her driveway when all of a sudden she saw brown water just shooting into the sky. The video youre looking at obviously shows the clear water there. Were also told that water did seep into possibly one home. The township also tells us they are now flushing out the sewer lines because they say that all of this put mud into the sewer system complicated repair work here.
