Natalie calvo was taken from in front of her home at about 6 45 last night. Authorities say a man had followed natalie and her mother to their home from a nearby wal mart, kidnapping the girl as her mother was unloading the car. The abduction prompted an amber alert in five counties, and after about three hours, police say natalie was found safe in the antioch marina. Inside the tan toyota camry the suspect was driving. He was taken into custody. Hes iden

Regardless of drought conditions, many Homeowners Associations will not tolerate brown lawns, but now the governor is giving people a pass. Andrea borba talked with some h. O. A. Members in the east bay to gauge reaction. Reporter its not hard to find a green lawn right after a rain storm, but come august in the middle of a crippling drought, it might be another story. In this neighborhood, the Homeowners Association sent nasty letters and fined people for brown lawns back in january. The fire started this morning north of rancho cucamonga. Its burned through 100 acres of dry brush no homes threatened at this point. High fire danger warnings are posted for much of Southern California today. The heat wave is adding to the high fire danger. Lets check in with what we can expect here in the bay area. Lawrence . The winds have been whipping in Southern California. We have been checking our weather sites there and winds are gusting over 50 miles per hour. You can see it in simi valley, anaheim, orange. Gusty winds there. In the bay area, calm winds. So our fire danger is not running high locally. But Southern California still a problem there. All caused by this big ridge of High Pressure that continues to sit overhead. It will bring with it those hot temperatures back into the 90s in some parts of the bay area with some records likely to fall today. When will this heat wave end .
