Farmers markets are finally opening for the season in Rutherford County.
Here s what to know about each of them if you re a customer or prospective vendor.
Rutherford County
First to kick off the season May 14 is the Rutherford County Farmers Market. The longest-running farmers market is held at Lane Agri-Park, 315 John Rice Blvd. in Murfreesboro from 7 a.m. to noon each Tuesday and Friday through Oct. 29.
All products and produce is grown or made by each vendor marketing their items.
The UT-TSU Extension is also bringing back weekly educational classes to the general public every market day at 9 a.m. Topics range from sustainable gardening, cooking, food preservation, crafts, and environmental education.
