I am on a campaign to unfollow. In the same way waistlines expanded during the pandemic from overindulging on comfort foods, my Instagram account became bloated. Some of the accounts I followed provided need-to-know coverage of Covid-19, protests, elections and insurrections. Recently, however, I’ve been on a decluttering spree.
Dozens of rarely-seen photographs curated by National Geographic are on show in Upper Hutt.

National Geographic Rarely Seen, it features 35 striking images shot by some of the world’s finest photographers of places, events, natural phenomena and man-made heirlooms.

A few elephants were brought there years ago to ferry logs–Rajan is the last one still swimming. Now retired, he only swims for fun.
