Striker Pablo Couñago looks set to come straight back into the Town side for Sunday s home derby with Norwich City after completing his three-match ban (KO noon). The Blues are yet to rule out injured trio Shefki Kuqi, Jon Walters and David Norris.
Former Charlton academy schoolboy Danny Haynes lashed in a brilliant second half volley to seal a 2-0 win over the Addicks at Portman Road, Owen Garvan having put the Blues in front before the break. Returning loanee Shefki Kuqi was stretched off only a few minutes into his second Town debut with a hamstring injury.
Two second-half Jimmy Bullard goals saw the Blues to a superb victory at Cardiff in front of the Sky cameras. Town had been very much second best in the opening period but once Bullard’s brilliant 67th minute strike had put them in front the Blues were always in control and the on-loan Hull man sealed it on 86 with a deflected freekick.
Goals from Velice Sumulikoski and Jon Walters took the Blues to a comfortable 2-1 victory over Blackpool at Portman Road. Town were rarely threatened by the visitors until a bizarre Paul Dickov goal in the closing minutes.
