Staten Island: As a proud union member since 1970, I must share my outrage with my union. The Communications Workers of America, which has been my union since the day I started working for the New York Telephone Company, which ended up becoming Verizon. I was a union representative for 33 of my 35 years and helped obtain the charter and formation of my Brooklyn local, of which I was an officer when I retired.

Brooklyn: Mayor Adams shared that he takes the M15 bus to work. MTA workers do not have to get a COVID-19 shot. They only have to take COVID tests. Seventy-five percent of MTA workers are vaccinated, a far lower percentage than other agencies. Yet here is the mayor, talking and fist-bumping with a bus driver.

Manhattan: The Daily News published yet another inaccurate story about ThriveNYC, continuing a false narrative that’s harmful to the mental health of New Yorkers in need (”Mental health plan didn’t quite ‘thrive,’ ” Dec. 29). Let’s correct the record.
