Just before Santa arrived Christmas Eve, Steve Gilman parked in a hotel parking lot in Warwick, Rhode Island to offer coffee, cookies and barbecues fare to the homeless trying to survive COVID-19, according to a Providence Journal report. Gilman, who runs Poppy's Waffles, delivered dozens of cupcakes as well that he made in his food truck, as well as hot beverages from the Presto Strange O food truck. The effort was organized with the assistance of FoodTrucksIn.com, an online site run by Eric Weiner that helps foodies find local food truck fare.
