Santa Clara Mayor Richard Bauch sports a poncho while testing out the village’s new splash park during a ribbon-cutting in November 2016. With the mayor is architect Steven Shelendich, who designed the park, and his partner, artist Zoe Wolfe, both sporting wetsuits for the event.
With construction on Maple Street set to begin any day now, the village of Santa Clara has announced that it will not open the Roger T. Silva Splash Park this year but Mining District families will likely still have access to aquatic fun this summer.
