A cool and drizzly day is forecast for most capital cities around Australia today with heavy rain and below-average temperatures putting an end to a week of summer heat.
A broad trough is causing storms and rain in northern Western Australia, the Northern Territory, and southeastern states with particularly unseasonable conditions expected in Victoria.
