An outbreak of a new COVID-19 variant at an Eastern Kentucky nursing home has sent five residents to the hospital.  Dr. Steven Stack, the states public health commissioner, said Tuesday "vaccination appears to have markedly reduced symptomatic disease" in the 41 infected people.  Stack said 85% of the residents and 48% of the health care staff were vaccinated at this site.
