A case of measles was confirmed in a participant of the Asbury Revival, health officials say. Its the third case in three months in Kentucky.

Heres a deeper look at the multiweek revival at Asbury University that took the world by storm.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (KT) - State health officials announced on Friday a confirmed case of measles identified in a Jessamine County resident. The resident, who is unvaccinated, attended the large revival

Measles is very contagious. Symptoms may include fever, cough, runny nose and a rash three to five days after symptom onset.

The Kentucky Department of Health said the person is from Jessamine County and attended the Asbury revival on Feb. 18.

Health officials say anyone who attended the event on Saturday, Feb. 18 may have been exposed.

The Cabinet for Health and Family Services announced that a measles case has been tied to the Asbury University revival services.

Revival attendees who are unvaccinated are encouraged to quarantine for 21 days and to seek immunization with the measles vaccine
