Tuesday, July 27, 2021 4:00 AM On Saturday July 24, 2021, Tonya Lynn Thompson, loving mother of two children, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born Sept. 6, 1970, in Crawfordsville Ind., to Hubert Thompson and Linda Thompson Busenbark.
Ms. Thompson was a loving and devoted mother to Evan Hubble and Paige Knowling. She was a 1989 graduate of Southmont Jr. Sr. High School and achieved her associate’s degree from Ivy Tech in business administration. For the past several years she was employed by Crawfordsville School Corporation as a bus driver.
She enjoyed attending her kids sporting events, playing golf, watching crime shows on TV, backyard pool parties, boating and spending time with her grand-dog, Jerzi. Everyone who met Ms. Thompson loved her. She was always positive and optimistic even upon receiving her diagnosis of cancer. Her house was the hangout place for her children and all of their friends, and she loved that. Ms. Thompson carefully chose who she wanted in her life, and if you were lucky enough to be chosen she was your true friend.

She was born May 25, 1982, in Crawfordsville, to Douglas and Arlene Fitzwater Edwards.
On Sept. 9, 2006, Mrs. Paris married Jeremy Paris. She was a free spirit who loved people and the world. She was a 2000 graduate of South Montgomery High School, and a 2004 Ball State University graduate with a degree in journalism. After college graduation, Mrs. Paris moved to Georgia where she started her journalism career and became an award-winning investigative journalist.
Mrs. Paris later moved back to Indiana to continue her career and start a family. As a writer and editor, she founded her own content marketing business, Red Pen, Inc. Traveling and family were her passions. She loved white sandy beaches and an ocean breeze, along with spending time at the playing fields watching her two girls play sports. She was a loving mother and devoted wife, and she will be missed by all.
