Climate change is to blame for a number of fires that are burning across the Hudson Valley. That's according to New York's top lawmaker.

Gov. Kathy Hochul has deployed New York Army and National Guard members to help fight wildfires in Minnewaska State Park.

As expected the major rain storm did little to extinguish the main fire burning in Ulster County. Officials also have no idea how much of the blaze is contained.

Governor Hochul announced the deployment of the New York Army and Air National Guards, along with a number of other resources, to further support fire suppression efforts at the 130- to 150-acre wildfire currently burning in Minnewaska State Park Preserve.
