Doug DeMuro Reviews 2021 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat, Calls It Insane

autoevolution 18 Dec 2020, 13:14 UTC · by If you’re in the market for a three-row SUV unlike any other, the Durango Hellcat may be right up your alley. Of course, the selling point of this gentle giant is the big V8 mill augmented by a twin-screw blower. 60 photos Supplied by Japanese company IHI, the 2.7-liter supercharger is pretty audible from the driver’s seat on full throttle. Taken together with the induction and exhaust noises, “the sound is unbelievable” according to Doug DeMuro. Even more surprisingly, Dodge has toned down the Durango from the Challenger and Charger with the 6.2-liter engine option.

Controlling 6-Axis Hexapod Micro-Robots via EtherCAT®

Manufacturing and quality assurance processes in electronics production, mechanical engineering and the automotive industry increasingly require multi-axis positioning systems. At the same time, the requirements in terms of accuracy are also increasing. Depending on the model, parallel-kinematic hexapod robots can move and position tools, workpieces, and complex components with weights ranging from a few grams to several hundred kilograms or even several tons in any spatial orientation with high precision – regardless of the assembly orientation.   The PI hexapod controller with integrated EtherCAT® interface now makes it very easy for users to integrate hexapods into automation systems without it being necessary to perform challenging kinematic transformations. This article details how the integration works, how Work and Tool coordinate systems can be used, and how the range of motion of the hexapod is optimally used.
