Punjab on Wednesday registered a slight rise of 3 Degrees Celsius. India Meteorological Department stated that it was appreciably above normal by 3.9 Degrees Celsius in the state.

Punjab Weather News Update Today: Cold day conditions and dense fog continue to prevail in Punjab as the state registered a fall of -2.1 degrees Celsius, thus enhancing the cold conditions across the state. The India Meteorological Department stated it was still near normal in the state. 

Commuters faced delays in Northern India as flights and trains were affected by low visibility and dipping temperatures. The minimum temperature in New Delhi was 8.5 degrees with dense fog predicted for January 22 and 23. The Indian Meteorological Department reported visibility of 1100 m at IGI Palam Airport. Several trains to Delhi, including Khajuraho-Kurukshetra Express and Vasco-Nizamuddin Express, were delayed due to fog.
