Bill Maher has faced a lot of criticism after revealing that he was bringing Real Time back to HBO next week. Called out by a slew of striking writers on social media, the WGA called the move “disappointing” and said that they would picket the show on its return.

Bill Maher is going back to work without his writers. The comedian said on social media Wednesday that Real Time with Bill Maher will return to HBO. The show will be back with an original episode on Friday September 22 at 10pm.
