Central College’s music department will conclude the Spring 2021 semester with four performances in May. The A Cappella Choir will perform a virtual pre-tour concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 2, in Douwstra Auditorium on Hoekstra Family stage. The performance will be directed by Mark Babcock, professor of music, director of choirs and M. Joan Kuyper Farver Endowed Chair in Music. A virtual performance by the Symphonic Wind Ensemble will follow at 5 p.m. and will be directed by Eileen McGonigal, assistant professor of music. The String Ensemble will perform at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, in Douwstra Auditorium on Hoekstra Family Stage. The concert will be conducted by John Helmich, adjunct instructor of music.
