Athens, GA Based West African Project TAXICAB VERSES Shares Its Take on Traditional Ghanaian Song "AJENJUA"

Athens’ storied musical collective TaxiCab Verses will re-release its 2016 album, Is What You Make It, October 20 on Strolling Bones Records. The 10-track set is a project of Jim Wilson and Kofi Atentenben and the Warriors, who met in Accra, Ghana in 2008, and quickly grew into an international effort featuring over 20 collaborators including Patterson Hood of Drive-By Truckers.

FROM ATHENS TO GHANA: TAXICAB VERSES TO RELEASE IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT

TaxiCab Verses, a staggering collective of Athens, GA and Ghana based musicians, will re-release its one and only studio LP, Is What You Make It via the New West Records imprint Strolling Bones Records on October 20. Led by Athens’ own Jim Wilson, TaxiCab Verses was first formed in collaboration with Ghanaian outfit Kofi Atentenben and the Warriors over the course of three separate trips to West Africa.

Jacob Morris releases "Stoney," second single from upcoming EP

Durham, North Carolina-based cellist, vocalist, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jacob Morris spent years establishing himself in Athens, Georgia's music biome, supporting some of its finest musicians and songwriters, including Ham 1, Vic Chesnutt, Liz Durrett, Madeline Adams, and Patterson Hood of the Drive-By Truckers.
