The transaction is the latest in a string of notable land deals in the NCR. The sale deed was executed on December 22, 2023 and the company paid Rs 6.07 crore as stamp duty for the 5.78-acre plot and Rs 2.45 crore stamp duty for the 2.06-acre land parcel, documents showed.

Officials said that during the review of the report it was found that Tower H was “unsafe for human habitation” and should be vacated within 15 days.

Officials said that the administration has also clarified that if defects are found and require repairs, half the expense would have to be borne by the RWA and the other half by the builder.

In 2021-22, a study conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, at the behest of DDA, found that the building was “structurally unsafe”, and suggested that the best option was to “vacate and dismantle” the complex.

Earlier this month, a primary survey of 55 condominiums was done on the orders of the district administration. Of these, 23 were shortlisted for checks on cracks in plaster, plaster falling off the walls, and water seepage, among others.

The surveys will be completed in the next fortnight. The safety audit will check structural flaws in high-rises and remedial measures suggested.
