A 45-year-old Deerfield man who was indicted on federal fraud charges just last week has already agreed to plead guilty to one count of wire fraud and will be sentenced in August.
Stuart Nitzkin, who is the former executive director of the Northfield-based Israel Sport Center for the Disabled, is accused of defrauding the charity out of more than $800,000, prosecutors said.
According to court records, Nitzkin used funds from the charity to cover personal expenses and make payments on his personal credit card.
Last week, Nitzkin s attorney said his client had already settled the grievances with the charity s board of directors about his mishandling of funds.

CHICAGO A Deerfield man and former executive director of a Northfield-based nonprofit pled guilty Wednesday to one count of wire fraud punishable by up to 20 years in prison amid allegations he stole more than $800,000 from the organization.
Stuart Nitzkin, 45, admitted to fraudulently misappropriating at least $550,000 from the non-profit organization for physically and psychologically challenged children, according to federal prosecutors. Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 3.
According to a plea agreement, Nitzkin worked as the executive director of the non-profit organization from 2011 to 2016. CHICAGO (AP) The former executive director of a suburban Chicago nonprofit devoted to helping disabled children has been charged with stealing more than $800,000 from the group and using the money for personal expenses.
Stuart Nitzkin, 45, of Deerfield, was charged with one count of wire fraud in a criminal information made public Thursday in federal court.
Court records show an arraignment has been set for Wednesday and that Nitzkin may change his plea to guilty at that hearing, the Chicago Tribune reported.
The charges against Nitzkin do not name the organization he worked for, saying only that he was executive director of a nonprofit group “committed to empowering physically disabled children to participate in physical and psychological rehabilitation through sports.”
