A U.S. Marine who posted videos on social media criticizing military leadership and the Biden administration’s withdrawal from Afghanistan will face a court-martial hearing next Thursday and Friday at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. 

The U.S. Marine who was incarcerated after publicly criticizing the Biden administration's handling of the withdrawal from Afghanistan was released on Tuesday after just over a week of confinement.

Scheller was charged with contempt, disrespect towards officials, dereliction of duties, failure to obey order or dereliction in the performance of duties and conduct unbecoming.

The Marine Corps should not look to make an example of Lt. Col. Scheller. It should judge him solely on his actions.
